Frank Iaffaldano co-founded Iaffaldano, Shaw & Young LLP after twenty
years in the real estate industry. Prior to the creation of Iaffaldano, Shaw &
Young LLP, he was the President, Chief Operating Officer and a Partner in
The Kor Group. At Kor, Iaffaldano oversaw all divisions of the
company and was responsible for the management of the Acquisitions,
Construction, Development, Sales, Marketing and Property Management
groups of the company. He was also responsible for the
creation and implementation of long-term strategic planning for Kor and
oversaw cash management, information technology, tax matters, risk management,
development reporting and investor, banking and lender relations
for all Kor projects. Iaffaldano also served as Chief Financial Officer for the
company for approximately two years. Iaffaldano remains a partner in Kor
and a member of the Board of Directors of Kor Hotel Management, LLC and
each of its affiliates.
Iaffaldano began his career at Sheppard, Mullin, Richter & Hampton in 1989,
becoming a partner in 1998. In 2001 he joined the Los Angeles office of
Paul, Hastings, Janofsky & Walker as a partner in the Real Estate Department
and a member of the Resort, Restaurant and Recreation practice group.
Iaffaldano has extensive experience in acquisitions, sales, construction and
development, leasing, joint ventures, real estate financings, workouts, note
sales, foreclosures and deeds in lieu of foreclosure. He has worked with a
wide variety of different types of real estate including hotels, resorts, office,
retail, industrial, multi-family, golf course, condominium and mixed-use real
estate projects. In addition to representation of Kor, his clients have included
TIAA-CREF, Lubert-Adler Funds, Pulte Homes, AEW, Massachusetts Mutual
Life Insurance Company, Cornerstone Real Estate Advisers, Interstate
Hotels, Angelo Gordon Funds, Haverford Capital, Amgen, Alliance Commercial
Partners, Broadreach Capital Partners and General Investment &
Development.
Iaffaldano received a B.A. degree in Political Science, as well as his J.D.,
from Northwestern University and is a member of the California State Bar.
