Stacy Gamble Shaw co-founded Iaffaldano, Shaw & Young LLP after over
ten years in the real estate industry, most recently as General Counsel of
The Kor Group. As Kor’s General Counsel, Shaw oversaw and managed the
legal affairs of The Kor Group, an international real estate investment and
development company and hotel management company. Additionally, Shaw
served as Director General of México y Area Jurídica for Kor and was a
partner in Kor’s Mexican projects, overseeing Kor’s existing hotels and
developments in Mexico. Her work in Mexico involved cash management,
direction of legal affairs, investor and lender relations, strategic planning,
oversight of human resources issues, capital sourcing and acquisition and
development of projects in Mexico.
Shaw started her legal career at the Los Angeles office of Sheppard, Mullin,
Richter & Hampton in 1998 and joined the real estate department of Paul,
Hastings, Janofsky & Walker in 2001. Her practice concentrated on a broad
range of real estate transactions, including acquisitions and dispositions, real
estate-related lending, commercial leasing, joint venture formations and
development matters.
In addition to Kor, her clients have included a broad range of institutional and
private clients, including Cornerstone Real Estate Advisers, Massachusetts
Mutual Life Insurance Company, Lubert-Adler Funds, TIAA-CREF, Pulte
Homes, Alliance Commercial Partners, Broadreach Capital Partners, AEW,
Interstate Hotels, Angelo Gordon Funds, General Investment & Development,
Haverford Capital and Amgen. She has worked with many types of
real estate, including hotel, resort, office, retail, industrial, multi-family,
condominium, mixed-use projects and agriculture.
Shaw received her B.A. degree from the University of California, Los Angeles
and attended Oxford University in England to study Psychology at the
graduate level. She received her J.D. from Stanford University. She is a
member of the California State Bar and the American Bar Association.
